Tennis Adults

Welcome to a new world of tennis where you will be able to play tennis at standards and abilities not normally available at other clubs. Initially, you will be assigned a membership level of Full Club Standard or Improver.

Tennis for Adults - Doubles - Club Standard
Club Sessions:
Tuesdays - 6.00pm to close.
Thursdays - 6.00pm to close.
Saturdays - 2.00pm to 5.30pm
Sundays - 2.00pm to 5.30pm

Tennis for Adults - Improvers

Club Session:
Monday nights - 6.30pm to close on two of the grass courts.
Wednesdays (not August) - 8.00pm to close on the Indoor Courts. Cost £4.00.
Fridays - 7.00pm to 8.00pm on the artificial grass - free coaching. From 8.00pm to 10.00pm on the artificial grass plus on one clay court.

All courts can be used at all times (except for club sessions times and coaching) by both categories of members. With 10 floodlit and 2 indoor courts there is no shortage of opportunity to play all year round. We also organise invitation tennis, a club directory for social tennis and adult teams for those who want to compete against other clubs.

We also hold special events and tournaments - including handicap, knockouts, veterans and doubles. News will be posted on this page so please keep visiting to find out what's happening. In the meantime here's information about Invitation Tennis for Improvers.

Playing more than one sport here at Parklangley is not that expensive – you do not pay a whole new subscription but just a supplement for the additional sport. See the new prices in this newsletter.

However some people may only want to play another sport occasionally and now we have a scheme where you can play all three sports without paying an additional membership. This applies to ALL members: social, juniors, gym plus all playing adult members.

To read more about this take a look at our Newsletter.

Mini

Age 3+
Leagues

all ages

We take them at an early age and give them a host of games and exercises all geared to improving hand-eye coordination.

As the children get slightly older, we move onto basic tennis skills using soft sponge balls and mini tennis rackets all played indoors on our badminton courts. We do not forget that lessons must be fun!

Leagues take place every weekend during school term time and these are available for all standards from 8 years upwards.

Our adult leagues take place during the winter months on our indoor courts and although limited in number are extremely popular.

Junior

8 to 18
Classes

all ages
There are literally hundreds of groups with just 4 to 6 children in a group. We cater for social players through to National Standard.

The Junior Club Leagues and Ratings all form part of what we offer this age group. In addition, many are happy to come socially and play with their friends.

We run over 350 different classes for all ages and abilities on all of our different sites. Most junior classes are held after school and at the weekends.

The Junior and Adult programme has a series of levels for beginners, improvers and more advanced players. Individual classes are also available for those that need a little extra help.
